Memorial Museums
The Memorial Museum “October 11 1941” is located in the center of Prilep, on the street “Ilindenska”. The building where the Museum is located was built at the beginning of XX century. During the time of fascist occupation (1941-1944) this object was transformed in Bulgarian Police Station (Uchastok), where the occupying police was located. On October 11 1941, the soldiers of Prilep’s Partisan Detachment attacked the Bulgarian Police Station (Uchastok) and other objects in the city and that officially was the start of the armed uprising of the Macedonian people against the fascist occupier. In the hall on the first floor the Decrees Documents of the fifteen National Heroes from Prilep are set, as well as the bust of Josip Broz Tito, made of white marble.
