St. Peter and Paul
Churches and monasteries in Varosh
The church of St. Peter and Paul is located in the eastern part of the Varosh settlement . It is single nave building with a modest size, stressed height and semicircular apse on the eastern side. It is built from stone and brick with rich ceramic plastic decoration, which suggests that the church probably originates from the XIV century. The walls are built with antique blocks and ceramic decorations. The church was completely painted from the inside, and now there are preserved only remnants of original frescoes, dating from the XIV century.
