Marco’s Towers:

Marco’s Towers are the symbol of the city of Prilep. They are built in the period of powerful Macedonian kings and their dominant defense system makes them unique on the Balkan. They are named after the last and the well known king in the epic poetry, King Marco, the protector of the disadvantaged and the oppressed, whose monarchy lasted till the 1395.
